OEM Cummins Insite and Snap-On Pro Link Ultra, which is better? Opinions from Aubrey Lamon: Cummins Insite is better at some things, but I can tell you from experience OEM doesn't mean you can change everything. A parameter that is locked can't be changed with Insite either unless your a dealer. Detroit OEM is also useless at times unless if you can change the password on the ECM which happens often on fleet trucks. The older versions of Insite also had a flaw that indicate a throttle position sensor was faulty when it wasn't faulty at all. Sure OEM will always be better in some ways, but multiple subscriptions can cost more then $5,000 a year. Paccar Davie software is $5,000 a year alone. Not saying Snap-on is the best by any means, but from playing with a Pro Link IQ and a Pro Link Ultra the software does most of the stuff that needs to be done. I did notice Cummins 04 on the Ultra screen which is confusing because I though the software was mainly for 2007 and newer Cummins. The reality is no non OEM scanner will be better than a laptop with OEM software. Bosch, CanDo, Texa and others may be better then the Pro Link software. I can't say because I have never used them. XHORSE VVDI BE Key Pro For Benz XNBZ01CH Remote Key Chip Improved Version default frequency is 315MHZ,it supported to change frequency to 433mhz. Here we will introduce two ways to change Xhorse Benz Key PCB frequency.
1.Remove PCB FRE resistor change to 433MHZ. 2.Change Via VVDI MB Tool Software. You can use VVDI MB software check key frequency firstly in EIS Software,other function set frequency. So far, i have good success with Allscanner VXDIAG VCX NANO GM + TECH2WIN. And now, i can make it work well with SPS, TIS2000 also.
VXDIAG VCX NANO GM + TECH2WIN: Using the Windows XP vm with installed GDS2 that comes with it I was able to diagnose a 2015 silverado truck. Using windows 7 and a 3 day subscription to acdelco TDS SPS I was able to flash the HMI module of a 2015 silverado to add a factory reverse camera to the truck. And I can use it with TECH2WIN to diagnose GM trucks (tested on silverado 2500 trucks of varying years 2001 - 2007). VXDIAG VCX NANO GM + TIS2000: IT works!! ok for anyone trying to use the VXDIAG GM nano with SPS this is what you need to do (order is important): *** please note you cannot use the VM that the VXDIAG package comes with (GDS2 VM). It's configured in such a way it won't work with the dongle crack and caused me a lot of head scratching to find this out.
