2.Choose VVDI – MB TOOL firmware version from Firmware List
3.Press button Update Online, wait the progress end
4.If failed to get firmware list or get something like “communicate with server error!” while update your device, close antivirus and firewall programs, try again. Change your internet provider once failed again
DON’T shutdown your PC or disconnect USB cable while update device

First I used Muti diag software on a BMW MINI 2011. One client took his car to my garage because the airbag light constantly flashed. I tested it with VCI but no code stored. I checked some other parameters and all fine. Then I disconnected the battery, and did a battery reset for half an hour. The SRS light went off finally.
Then I run muti-diag access on BMW E90. Read and cleared fault codes of engine injection mevd17kw n55. Lots of sreenshots i took this time, for share. It will better to help all know Muti-diag.
There is an easier way to repair can clip renault hardware (at least flash chips).

The CPU that is inside CLiP (both cards have one - ISO and CAN) HAVE capability for BDM (see page 4-42 / chapter 4.14.4 from manual). Now, let's dig more... In this happy family this particular CPU that power Clip (more precisely MC68HC16Z1) have only 1-Kbyte static RAM and use external FLASH also external RAM for program execution. By checking pinout (page 3-7 / figure 3-4) the pins involved in BDM business are: pin 59 - VDD pin 62 - VSS pin 64 - FREEZE pin 66 - BKPT/DSCLCK pin 67 - IPIPE0/DSO pin 68 - IPIPE1/DSI pin 69 - RESET pin 71 - BERR pin 86 - DS Now...at page 4-45 / figure 4 -8 we see Freescale recommended BDM connection. After i check (by measuring traces) i found BDM connections on both cards - they are EXACTLY as producer recommends (see photos attached). CANBDM:

As we found out BDM port for this CPU, we need a software for flashing, and i found PROG16z or PROG32z from P&E Microcomputer Systems (as info, but unfortunately NOWHERE to download). The main concern is to find a software to put CPU in Background Debug Mode (BDM) and load flash thru BDM port (prog16z or prog32z are perfect for that). Also for testing you could try Freescale Background Debug Monitor. I also atached s19 to hex convertor BDM_V090DBG.zip and for convert hex files to s19 or s19 to hex file ....binmot.zip Maybe someone who has some free time can test that and report evolution of this project on CAN CLIPinterface. But TRY ON YOUR OWN RISK.

i'm retrofitting cruise control on a BMW 320D 2005.
Changed the parts needed and added cruise control to the VO and coded the modules needed to code.
Next and last step is Resetting/Calibrating the steering angle sensor in INPA but it gives me the following message and nothing more happens:

Okay this was actually really easy
1. Start by launching Toolset 32 / Tool32:
2. Choose "Load SGBD Group file"
3. Find your DSC module and click "open", (In my case for a E90 2005 320D it was DSC_87.prg)
4. Scroll your way down to "lenkwinkel dsc abgleichen", ignition on and double click that.
Wait for the job to finish (took about 10 seconds for me)
DONE!
Steering Angle calibrated and VIN-matched to car.

Yes, I agree that WinOLS is advised to learn and use ECM TITANIUM not only, why? Because ecm is easier to use for people who start and how easy will be bad habit of using it as a single program.
The problem is that if you only limit yourself to modify the maps that the program shows you the repro is made half and never will draw the maximum power. Besides that such people are all it would do odd jobs because they will not want it easy and strive to learn. If we want to get the maximum power possible is clear that we must touch the lomitadores by temperature, pressure, and single and I do not care to do it with ECM TITANIUM V1.61 that WinOLS, because if you know where are the maps and what they are for the end result it is the same with any hex editor. -also have to say that when a car has kilometers and its components, turbo, pump and clutch cylinders are not as when they were new, I would not dream ride up limiters, forward and singles that car for a lot of power to ask the owner because the car breaks something both days and although the owner is aware or is not, the bad reputation you have earned it. Ecm does not touch those maps unless you want to touch them and that's good for those who are just starting out and have no advice from anyone because they are quite damaging to an engine because they are limiting.
